A Painting of a Little Boy and His Akita

Project Description

This is a custom pet painting of our friends’ little boy and his Akita. The boy is now in college and his beloved dog, Kuma, is in doggie heaven. I painted their portrait in 2010. It was great fun for me to bring out the details, highlights and shadows in this painting. I know it sounds strange, but check out the brass door hardware—I love painting shiny and antique objects 🥰.
