I painted this close-up portrait study of a dog for my client, who was grieving for Maddy, her beloved pup. I drew and then created the close-up portrait study of Maddy, in black and white watercolor, with a little bit of her tan markings. Many of my clients have honored their dogs with beautiful portraits. I look at my portrait with BamBam, our Maltese, every day. Though I’ll always miss him, the painting brings me immense comfort and cuddly memories.
