This close-up painting of a young woman is a portrait of my neighbor’s beautiful granddaughter. When photographing her, I was lucky to capture her Mona Lisa look. Do you see the striking similarity? I love painting intense close-ups that focus on the eyes to show emotion and mood.
The two girls in this portrait of teenagers also remind me of women in Renaissance paintings.
